Job summary

First American is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer in Appleton, WI. The role focuses on residential and commercial real estate transactions, establishing new escrow accounts, managing funds, processing closing documents, and Settlements in accordance with policy.

This in-office position requires strong decision-making, excellent communication, and the ability to multi-task within a dynamic team environment. 2–4 years escrow experience and valid licensing are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of escrow-related experience.
• Experience directly handling escrow transactions.
• Licensed/Certified as required by applicable state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements.
• Act as a neutral liaison between file parties and monitor risk.
• Ensure funds are properly accounted for and disbursed per contract policies.
• Prepare regular escrow status reports for involved parties.
• Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents.
• Prepare legal documents for closings.
• Complete closing by recording and filing documents and distributing final statements.
