Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY seeks a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise applications, working with stakeholders and the Production Engineering & Resilience team to keep platforms running and guide future-state adoption.

You will lead requirements, testing, RCA, and production support, with ERP and manufacturing domain fluency on mainframe, trace transactions across screens, COBOL, DB2, and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Six (6) or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar hands‑on role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Manufacturing industry background with manufacturing, operations, or planning processes.
• Mainframe stack understanding: trace transactions through screens, programs, DB2, batch jobs and interfaces.
• Experience with at least one major ERP platform and its manufacturing modules.
• Incidents and RCA experience; backlog ownership and prioritization.
• Structured problem solving; ability to handle cross‑system issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Understand end‑to‑end business processes and how they map to systems.
• Trace a transaction across screens, programs, DB2, batch jobs, and interfaces.
• Anticipate downstream impacts before changes are implemented.
• Lead requirements gathering, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Apply ERP and manufacturing process knowledge to analysis and requirements work.
• Identify gaps and improvements in current-state processes and configurations.
• Document workflows and data flows to support sustainment and transition planning.
• Support testing (functional/regression/UAT) for enhancements and upgrades.
• Lead or contribute to RCA on incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Support transition to future-state platforms including cutover planning.
