Job summary

Brooksource in Nashville is seeking a CoA/GL Lead to direct a 10–14 week engagement geared toward designing the future Chart of Accounts and General Ledger structure ahead of a broader ERP build. The role oversees a three‑person team and serves as the primary decision-maker and status contact for leadership and stakeholders.

You will own design decisions, present recommendations, and partner with the Finance Lead Facilitator to ensure a smooth handoff of finalized CoA/GL elements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading Chart of Accounts / General Ledger design engagements on ERP implementation or modernization programs.
• Strong working knowledge of GL structure design, account hierarchies, and the financial‑reporting implications of CoA decisions.
• Prior experience in a lead or engagement‑management capacity, ideally in a public‑sector or large‑enterprise ERP context.
• Professional presentation, communication, and conduct required for all client‑facing interactions, in person and virtual.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving state‑government engagement with both on‑site and remote sessions.
• Prior experience on ERP implementations, business process improvement, or large‑scale public‑sector transformation programs is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day direction and sequencing of the CoA/GL engagement, coordinating a 3-person team (CoA/GL Lead, COA Finance Architect, ERP Financial Consultant).
• Own and present CoA/GL design decisions and structure recommendations to leadership.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the CoA/GL team and the assigned Brooksource PM and stakeholders.
• Partner with the Finance Lead Facilitator on a handoff basis — passing finalized CoA/GL decisions and receiving Finance‑track reporting pain points and process dependencies in return (this is a handoff relationship, not a shared workshop cadence).
• Track and report engagement progress, open decisions, and risks on a regular cadence to leadership.
