KellyMitchell Group in Nashville, TN is seeking a Chart of Accounts and General Ledger Architect to lead the design and modernization of the state's CoA/GL architecture as part of an ERP transformation. The role blends strategic direction with hands-on architectural work to enable robust financial operations across the enterprise.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, ensure GASB, ACFR, SEFA and reporting requirements are met, and guide data standardization and migration efforts.

Qualifications

• Public sector accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in process modeling, requirements management, and data analysis including advanced Excel.
• Strong facilitation, documentation and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• CoA/GL Architecture and Design: lead development of future-state enterprise CoA with segment structures, hierarchies, classifications, and GL design principles.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: ensure architecture supports GASB, ACFR, SEFA and state/federal reporting requirements.
• Cross-workstream integration: coordinate CoA/GL design with BPI, Procurement, HCM, Payroll, Budget, Grants, Data Conversion, Integrations, and Reporting.
• Requirements and Design Governance: facilitate validation, document decisions, evaluate design options, and governance for CoA/GL decisions.
• Enterprise Data Standardization: establish data definitions, account structures, mappings, and governance for data integrity and analytics.
• ERP Platform Alignment: ensure CoA/GL aligns with ERP platform capabilities, favoring configuration over customization.
• Legacy-to-Future-State Transition: analyze Edison structures, identify mapping requirements, and coordinate data migration and reconciliation.
