BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our busy Critical Care team. You will induce and monitor anesthesia, triage emergencies, and support advanced patient care in a fast-paced setting.

We value skilled technicians who can manage vitals, perform radiography, and mentor colleagues while delivering compassionate care for critically ill or injured pets.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technician with a passion for emergency care and patient comfort.
• Ability to triage, monitor vitals, and provide rapid, accurate assessments.
• Proficient in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia support.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in emergency patients.
• Triage incoming cases and record vitals such as temperature, HR, RR, BP.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Maintain awareness of normal vital sign ranges and alert to changes.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR when needed.
• Calculate medical doses and administer meds via correct routes.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters in peripheral vessels.
• Place feeding tubes and central line catheters as required.
• Mentor and train co-workers while delivering compassionate care.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
