Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians or assistants to support the busy Emergency and Critical Care department. The role includes anesthesia induction, monitoring, triage, radiography, and critical patient management in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation aligns with experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. Candidates with VTS credentials earn commensurate compensation.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician or credentialed assistant with emergency experience.
• Ability to induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia and manage critical patients.
• Proficiency with phlebotomy, IV access, and critical care monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals including temperature, HR, RR and BP.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning and technique.
• Monitor vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Initiate CPR for at-risk patients and manage medical math for meds.
• Place IV catheters and manage central lines; mentor co-workers.
