Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. You will work in a fast-paced setting, handling emergency cases and providing compassionate care to critically ill patients.

The role focuses on anesthesia induction/monitoring, triage, radiography, vital signs interpretation, CPR readiness, and mentorship of team members in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency veterinary care and ability to handle critically ill patients.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and assist during emergencies.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and radiography.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and use monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergencies and record vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and positioning.
• Identify abnormal vitals and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Administer medications and calculate dosing.
• Mentor and train other staff; provide compassionate client communication.
