Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. This role requires 2+ years of ER experience with ICU background, and a passion for caring for critically ill or injured pets.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform radiography, monitor vitals, and support veterinarians with urgent cases while mentoring teammates in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ER and must have ICU experience.
• Experience in emergency veterinary care and critical patient management.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with correct patient positioning.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Initiate CPR for at-risk patients when needed.
• Place and maintain IV catheters and perform phlebotomy.
