Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. We offer a fast-paced environment with opportunities to grow skills and advance through our competency leveling system.

The role involves anesthesia, triage, radiography, vital sign monitoring, phlebotomy, IV access, and mentoring colleagues in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technician in emergency/critical care.
• Proficient in anesthesia induction and monitoring.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and use monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergencies and monitor vitals including HR, RR and BP.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Assess vital signs and alert the Veterinarian to changes.
• Initiate CPR for arrest risk patients and calculate medical dosages.
• Phlebotomy and placement of IV catheters in peripheral vessels.
• Place feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train co-workers; address client concerns.
