• Excellent customer service and patient relations skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare staff.
• Ability to obtain patient registration information and signatures.
• Ability to collect, verify, and update insurance information.
• Experience handling patient payments and issuing receipts.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Proficient in EMR and patient registration systems; maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties and requisitions in the nursing unit.
• Transcribe orders and prepare charts.
• Assist Nursing Staff and Physicians with clerical tasks.
• Handle reception duties and public relations.
• Accumulate data for acuity, census, admission, discharge; report to DON.
• Monitor telemetry and alert Charge Nurse of alarms.
• Assist with nursing duties as needed.
