• Ability to obtain and verify patient registration information and signatures.
• Ability to collect, verify and update insurance information and IDs.

• Strong organizational skills for a fast-paced ER environment.
• Proficient in EMR, patient registration systems, and basic computer applications.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties, requisitions, transcribes orders, and maintain charts on the nursing unit.
• Assume receptionist responsibilities and assist nursing staff and physicians.
• Handle public relations with cheerful, professional conduct toward patients and visitors.
• Accumulate data for acuity, census, admission, discharge, and report to the DON.
• Monitor telemetry and notify Charge Nurse of alarms.
• Assist with nursing duties as needed in age-specific manner.
