Qualifications

• Knowledge of a variety of office procedures and operation of office equipment such as computers.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and effective communication.
• 3 to 12 months experience in an office or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, families, visitors, and staff; route requests appropriately.
• Answer internal and external calls promptly and share urgent information with physicians or units.
• Maintain logs, records and patient charts; ensure efficient information sharing.
• Assist in processing tests and procedures and arrange transportation as ordered.
• Enter admissions, training and discharge data; manage inventory and billing receipts.
• Prepare admission/discharge materials and organize rooms and supplies.
• Perform routine clerical and computerized duties; file and relay messages.
