Job summary

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS, and preferred acute care or EMT experience. This position offers full‑time hours in a fast‑paced hospital environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong communication and computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Communicate observations to the RN promptly and clearly.
• Maintain constant observation for high‑risk patients as assigned.
• Help maintain a safe environment and assist in de‑escalation as needed.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and nutrition.
• Assist in moving, lifting and positioning of patients safely.
• Perform patient safety checks and use fall prevention methods.
• Take and record vital signs; measure height and weight.
• Perform EKGs, point-of-care tests, and specimen prep.
• Phlebotomy may be required at some locations.
• Provide patient information and build rapport with patients.
• Assist with unit equipment and supply storage.
• Support treatment setups and sterile technique as directed.
• Monitor intake and manage feeding solutions as needed.
• Answer calls, relay messages, and use interdepartmental communications.
• Replenish unit supplies and stay updated with unit changes.
• Adhere to policies and attend required meetings.
