Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, IL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department. The role is full-time, night shift, 7p–7:30a, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include delivering safe patient care in Telemetry, coordinating with physicians, and guiding patient/family education while maintaining privacy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other staff; communicate changes in clinical condition.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidential information is protected.
• Provide education to patients and families and supervise junior nurses as needed.
