Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Room Technician/ER Tech/Paramedic for a FLOAT position across ED and inpatient units. The role covers nights (7pm–7am) and requires willingness to float to all 3 locations. You will collect vitals, assist with patient care, perform basic lab tasks, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Travel between facilities and adherence to privacy standards are required. Qualified candidates will have appropriate EMT/paramedic credentials and BLS; ACLS/PALS often

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• EMT-P or Licensed Paramedic with one year of ER experience.
• ACLS/ALS and BLS certifications required.
• Fluency in English written and spoken is required.
• Willingness to travel to all facility locations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data; take vitals and measurements.
• Collect specimens and perform standard lab testing per policy and CLIA.
• Assist with patient activities and care per plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain privacy and a clean, safe environment; follow infection control.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge; travel to locations as needed.
