Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergent Room Technician/ER Tech/Paramedic for a float position across ED and inpatient areas. The role requires day shifts, full-time status, and potential travel to all facilities.

Must meet diverse credentialing across multiple markets and maintain patient safety and privacy. Ideal candidates bring EMT-/Paramedic background, BLS, ACLS/ALS, and English fluency, with nursing school pursuit or CNA/Emergency room experience as a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT-P/Paramedic certification required.
• ACLS/ALS certification preferred in most markets.
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• ER technician experience or CNA hospital experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, and specimens.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and COLA/CLIA guidelines.
• Assist with patient activities and care as directed by the charge nurse per plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and support patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
