Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Emergency Room Technician/ER Tech/Paramedic for a float position on the night shift (7p-7a) across three locations within a 20-bed small-format hospital network.

The role provides technical support and patient care, including vital signs, specimen collection, and wound care, with travel between sites as needed. The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, BLS and ACLS/ALS required, and PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS and ACLS/ALS certifications required in most markets.
• PALS certifications strongly preferred in many markets.
• English language fluency required for communication.
• EMT-P/Paramedic or EMT-B with ER experience commonly selected for roles.
• Nursing student in accredited program or CNA with ER/hospital experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data; take vitals, height/weight, input/output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens.
• Collect lab samples and perform lab testing per policies, COLA/CLIA regulations.
• Assist with patient activities and care per the plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and proper aseptic technique and infection control.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of the patient.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
