Job summary

GBMC HealthCare's Emergency Department seeks an EMT/CRT/Paramedic to assist with admission tasks, triage, and patient flow. Under supervision, you will escort patients, prep rooms, and support RN/MD staff in a fast-paced environment.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, EMT/CRT/Paramedic training, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of related experience. This role includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes triage documentation including vital signs, phlebotomy, and oxygen placement under RN guidance.
• Maintains patient flow and communicates care plans to patients and families.
• Assists with cleaning ED rooms and reports abnormal vitals to RNs.
• Performs blood glucose testing and draws peripheral blood under RN guidance.
• Records procedures in EHR and transmits results to RN/MD.
• Sets up laceration sterile trays and assists with patient transport as needed.
