Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an ED support tech to assist with triage and patient flow in the Emergency Department. The role requires EMT/CRT/Paramedic program completion and CPR certification, with at least 1 year of related experience.

You will perform vital signs, phlebotomy, IV placement, and data entry in the ED while maintaining GBMC values and patient-focused care. The position involves multi-tasking in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• EMT/CRT/Paramedic program graduate and CPR certified.
• High school diploma or GED required; EMT/CRT/Paramedic program preferred.
• 1 year minimum related experience in emergency care or triage.

Responsibilities

• Complete triage documentation including vital signs, venous access, phlebotomy, and oxygen placement per RN guidance.
• Maintain patient flow and communicate care plans to patients and families.
• Assist with cleaning ED rooms and stocking supplies.
• Obtain vitals and pain scores; report abnormal findings to RN/MD.
• Transport patients and assist with ambulatory transfers when needed.
