Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore seeks a patient admissions assistant in the Emergency Department to support admission of inpatients and outpatients and escort patients as needed.

You will assist with triage, vital signs, phlebotomy, and documentation under RN/MD supervision, and help maintain supply levels and patient flow.

This role requires EMT/CRT/Paramedic training, CPR certification, and strong customer service skills; weekend and shift flexibility may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from an EMT, CRT, or Paramedic program.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes triage documentation with vital signs, venous access and oxygen placement under RN guidance.
• Maintains patient flow and communicates plan of care with patient and family.
• Assists with cleaning ED rooms and reports abnormal vitals to RNs.
