Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Emergency Department support professional to assist in patient admissions and flow. You will escort patients within the ED, replenish supplies, and support RNs and physicians under supervision to ensure timely care.

A CNA program completion and an EMT/EMR/Paramedic credential are required, with CPR certification also expected. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Graduate from an accredited CNA program.
Graduate from an accredited EMR/EMT/CRT/Paramedic program.

Responsibilities

Assist admission of inpatients and outpatients in the Emergency Department.
Escort patients between waiting areas, radiology, and care areas as needed.
Replenish clinical supplies and check clinical carts.
Support unit staff under RN/MD supervision to promote efficient patient flow.
Interact with patients, families, physicians and staff with professionalism.
