Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking an ER Technician to administer patient care under R.N. direction in the Emergency Department. You will follow care plans and support smooth patient flow for patients from infancy through geriatrics.

The role requires BLS, CPI within 90 days, and EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant credentials or RN‑program coursework. Join a broad health system offering tuition assistance and career development.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Follow the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician.
• Perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Provide specialized care for patients from infancy through geriatrics in the Emergency Department.

Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification

RN program with 2 semesters of clinical coursework
