Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks an Emergency Room Assistant to support nurses in a fast-paced ER. Under direct supervision, you will assist with patient care and help ensure safe, timely service.

The role requires MA, CNA or nursing student in the final year, current BLS, and de-escalation training. English/Spanish bilingual is preferred; benefits, tuition reimbursement and career development across UHS locations are offered.

Qualifications

• MA, CNA or student in the last year of Nursing program required.
• De-escalation training (CPI within six months of employment) in required specialty
• Current BLS required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Competency checklist must be completed prior to being able start IVs

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to nurses in the Emergency Room with care to patients under the direct supervision of a nurse.
