Requirements include BLS certification, CPI training within 30 days of hire, and EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant status or RN coursework; dysrhythmia cert within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association.
• CA EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required or RN program enrolled.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.
• Follow the plan of care to address age- and diagnosis-specific needs.
• Maintain smooth patient flow in the Emergency Department through responsive care.
