Job summary

Emerus is actively seeking an Emergency Room Technician/ER Tech to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care in our 20-bed small-format hospital in Pennsylvania. This day-shift role (7A–7P) supports ER and inpatient areas, with travel to all facility locations as required.

Key duties include taking vital signs, collecting specimens, assisting with patient activities, wound care, patient safety, infection control, and helping admissions, transfers and discharges while preserving

Qualifications

• Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication.
• Completion of one of the listed medical certifications or active enrollment in nursing education.
• 1+ years ER or hospital experience preferred in some certifications.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, and specimen collection.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and COLA/CLIA.
• Assist with patient activities and care as indicated by the plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and maintain patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
