Job summary

Emerus is seeking nursing and ER technician support to provide hands-on clinical care across assigned units. The role emphasizes vital signs, specimen collection, wound care, and patient safety. You will work with nurses to support admissions, discharges, and exams in a day shift setting.

Applicants should have one of several qualified backgrounds (EMT-P, CNA, or nursing students) and hold BLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred for many markets. Travel to different facility locations is required.

Qualifications

• Requires Medical Corpsman/EMT-Paramedic or Nursing pathway with 1+ year of applicable ER/hospital experience.
• EMT-P/AEMT/Licensed Paramedic with 1+ year experience is required or preferred in some markets.
• EMT-B with 1+ year ER experience acceptable for certain regions.
• First year of education in Nursing with current enrollment and 1+ year of experience.
• 2+ years ER tech experience.
• 3+ years CNA with hospital experience (Wisconsin market) or
• 3+ years as anesthesia tech/OR tech (Wisconsin market).
• BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS and PALS preferred in many markets.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vital signs and input/output.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per COLA/CLIA; maintain infection control and privacy.
• Assist with patient activities and care under nurse supervision; ensure safety.
• Provide superficial wound care and patient safety measures.
• Ensure aseptic technique and proper isolation procedures; maintain a clean environment.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; participate in rounds as needed.
• Travel to facility locations as required and attend mandated meetings.
