Job summary

WellSpan Hospitals in Carlisle, Newberry & Shrewsbury is seeking an Emergency Room Technician/ER Tech to provide technical assistance and patient care across ED and inpatient areas. Responsibilities include collecting vitals, specimens, assisting with care plans, and maintaining a safe environment.

Position requires high school diploma or GED and multiple credential paths (EMT/paramedic, nursing enrollment or CNA experience). Travel to multiple campus locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, plus one of the listed emergency care pathways.
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets; exceptions noted per market presence
• Current PALS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care across assigned areas.
• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vitals and specimens.
• Assist with patient activities, safety, and care per plan of care.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control measures; ensure patient privacy.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; travel to facility locations as needed
• Attend meetings and perform additional duties as assigned
