Job summary

Emerus seeks an ER Technician to provide patient care and technical support in a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsibilities include collecting vital signs, lab specimens, wound care, and assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with relevant healthcare experience and current BLS certification. Travel to multiple facility locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with one of the listed applicable certifications or experience.
• Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets; exceptions noted for certain regions.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vital signs and intake/output.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and procedures.
• Assist with patient activities and care per the plan of care and as directed by charge nurse.
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety and privacy at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
