Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Room Technician/Paramedic for ED and inpatient care in a 20-bed hospital setting. The role focuses on collecting data, conducting basic lab work, assisting with patient care, wound care and safety, while ensuring privacy and infection control.

Candidates should have an appropriate EMT/paramedic credential, ER experience, and strong communication skills. Ability to travel to facilities as needed, with full-time hours and on-site work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EMT-P/AEMT/LP certifications with 1 year of ER experience preferred.
• ER Technician experience or nursing prereqs considered.
• Strong patient care, documentation and infection control skills.
• English fluency required; compliance with state/federal clearances.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report and document clinical data, vitals and specimens.
• Perform lab testing per policy and CLIA standards.
• Assist with patient activities and care per care plan.
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and infection control standards.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
