Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Bellevue Campus ED. The ED Tech delivers direct patient care under RN supervision, assists with point-of-care testing, and collects blood samples as part of a fast-paced trauma center environment.

Requirements include WA NA-C or NA-R, MA-P with 90 days to obtain, and BLS. Strong communication and English proficiency are essential for patient and family interactions in this role.

Qualifications

• Active WA NA-C or NA-R license required.
• MA-P certification required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification for health care providers required or preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing per protocol.
• Obtain blood samples from patients and transport specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper equipment handling.
