Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for the Bellevue Campus Emergency Department. The ED Tech provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and may perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• Active WA NA-C or NA-R licensure at hire.
• MA-P licensure with 90 days to obtain.
• BLS for Health Care Providers required.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity preferred.
• Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment and record keeping.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• May provide care to patients of various ages.
• Perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing and associated quality activities.
• Obtain blood samples from patients and transport specimens for testing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
