Job summary

Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue seeks an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to support the ED team with direct patient care under RN supervision. The role includes basic POC testing, blood collection, and specimen transport following protocol.

Ideal candidates have relevant licenses, BLS, and healthcare experience. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities in a Level III ED serving the region.

Qualifications

• WA NA license required or eligible on hire.
• MA-P license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience with patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity is preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital equipment and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing per protocol.
• Obtain blood samples from patients and transport to the lab.
• Handle and transport samples and potentially biohazardous specimens.
• Maintain quality activities and documentation per procedures.
