Job summary

AHN Neighborhood Hospital in Pittsburgh is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a part-time night shift to assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in a busy ER.

You will perform documentation, observe patient status, adhere to infection control, and follow physician orders while ensuring patient privacy.

Qualifications include 2+ years ER RN experience, state RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and English fluency; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered and free parking is provided.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license with no sanctions.
• 2+ years full-time ER RN experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Document accurately and legibly in medical records.
• Observe and record patient signs, symptoms, and status.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policies and procedures.
• Follow infection control, isolation procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Participate in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care.
