Emerus in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for full-time day swing shifts (9A–9P). Includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus and night/weekend differentials, with parking and 401K match.

The role focuses on assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care in a small-format hospital ER, with a strong emphasis on documentation, privacy and teamwork. Active RN license in PA and 2+ years ER experience required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, required; BSN, preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience, required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required; TNCC preferred.
• Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.
• Pennsylvania Candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care with advanced clinical knowledge.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation on medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and physiological status of patients.
• Propose revisions of interventions and desired outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow physician's orders in delivery of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policy and procedures.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques in patient care.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for procedures; assist others per policy and standards of nursing care.
