Job summary

Medical City Dallas, a high-acuity emergency department in Texas, seeks a Registered Nurse to join the ER team. You will coordinate and deliver patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians and the care team to apply Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage principles and advocate for patients and families.

The role requires active TX RN license, ACLS/ENPC/PALS within specified timelines, and a commitment to pain management, patient education, and smooth self-management transitions.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Texas.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ENPC must be obtained within 18 months of start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain with regular reassessments.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients as ordered; document care promptly.
• Respond quickly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans and follow-up.
• Prepare patients for self-management and lifestyle changes.
