Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an RN for the Emergency Room to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, monitor patients, administer treatments, and educate families about conditions and follow-up plans.

This role requires strong critical thinking, ACLS/PALS/BCLS within specified timeframes, and a commitment to exceptional patient outcomes as part of a larger HCA Healthcare system.

Qualifications

• RN licensed and active in good standing.
• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• PALS within 30 days of start date.
• BCLS (CPR) within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalent within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Performs procedures and monitors patients as ordered by the medical team; documents care in the chart.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs to resolve issues.
• Teaches patients/families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps.
