Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• BLS Instructor/Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalent must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain and monitor for effective pain control.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
• Guide patients in post-discharge care and healthy lifestyle changes.
