Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced environment. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver comprehensive nursing care, assess pain, document treatments, and educate patients and families on condition management and follow‑up.

The role requires ACLS, PALS, and BCLS certifications, a state RN license, and a commitment to meeting organizational standards.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS or pediatric advanced life support must be obtained within 18 months.
• NBLS/BCLS or equivalent must be obtained within 30 days.
• RN license or registration in appropriate state.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be completed within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain and ensure timely reassessments.
• Perform procedures and document care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow‑up.
• Explain non‑medicinal follow‑up measures and self‑management strategies.
