Job summary

Medical City Sachse is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to implement established nursing models and advocate for patients and families.

You will assess pain, perform procedures, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care. Teamwork, communication, and readiness to manage emergencies are essential.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days of start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of start date.
• ENPC within 1 year of start date.
• PALS within 90 days of start date.
• TNCC within 1 year of start date.
• RN Registered Nurse license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 1 year ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures and document care in patient records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up steps.
• Prepare patients for self-management and healthy lifestyle changes.
