Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department who will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work closely with physicians and care teams to ensure timely, compassionate service and outcomes that align with the hospital's standards.

You will support pain management, patient education, and coordination of care, while meeting certification requirements and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, or Satori Alternatives for Managing Aggressive Behavior must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessments after interventions.
• Performs procedures and documents care in the medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures; translates medical terminology as needed.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management strategies.
