Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Medical City Dallas system seeks a RN in the Emergency Room to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to assess, treat, and educate patients while maintaining accurate records and safeguarding patient safety.

The role emphasizes advocacy for patients and families, adherence to nursing standards, and participation in hospital councils and initiatives to improve outcomes and the nursing profession.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ENPC must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN Associate Degree is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.
• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up steps.
• Document care in the patient record in a timely, thorough manner.
• Advocate for patients and support hospital goals and patient outcomes.
