Job summary

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license; Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start
• Associate Degree, RN in acute care environment preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• TNCC required within 1 year
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Registered Nurse Diploma acceptable alternative
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS Instructor required within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess and treat patients of all ages
• Identify outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and situation
• Develop plans with strategies and alternatives to attain outcomes
• Manage multiple cases with general nursing care and continual prioritization
• Provide follow-up care instructions and referrals
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital departments while staying patient-focused and safety-aware
