Job summary

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with providers and the care team.

Responsibilities include assessing pain, performing procedures, documenting care, and educating patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up steps. Florida RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required; acute care and ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification.
• CPI Certification.
• A minimum of one year acute care Medical/Surgical/Tele RN experience.
• One or more years working as an ER RN in Acute Care Hospital preferred.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after intervention.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients; document care in medical record promptly.
• Respond to patient requests promptly and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, meds, side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Educate about non-medicinal follow-up measures like diet and exercise; prepare for self-management.
