Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL, seeks an ER Registered Nurse for our dynamic Emergency Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

You will support patient flow, educate families on medications, and maintain accurate records while administering treatments per physician orders. Florida RN licensure and relevant certifications are required or pursued within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or eligible for compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS/ENPC are required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient patient flow including triage, preparation, and admission processes.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records, posting tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
