UAB Medicine is expanding its Emergency Department at UAB Hospital in Alabama’s first ACS-verified Level I Adult Trauma Center and is hiring additional nursing staff. The newly expanded ED features 115+ treatment/triage spaces, a 30-bed inpatient observation unit and advanced equipment, including CT, X-ray and echo ultrasound, plus a teleadmission process for streamlined care.

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of nursing experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience preferred in psychiatric nursing, psychiatric emergency nursing, or correctional nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver nursing care using the AACN Synergy Model to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment, intervention and evaluation.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care provided to the patient, family and community in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Collaborate with the patient, family and health care team and with licensed physicians, psychologists, podiatrist and/or dentist to deliver care.
