Job summary

Medical City Frisco, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an RN in the Emergency Room to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. The RN will advocate for patients and families, using established nursing models to support optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing pain, performing procedures, documenting care, responding to requests, teaching patients about conditions and treatment, and guiding self-management after discharge.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher.
• ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of start date.
• BCLS/CPR certification required; instructor role within 30–90 days.
• 1 year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote pain management.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and provide proactive care.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, and medications.
• Prepare patients for self-management with lifestyle guidance.
