Job summary

Baylor Frisco Medical Center in Frisco, TX is seeking a PRN ER RN to provide skilled emergency department care in alignment with standards of care and to serve patients from newborns to adults.

The RN will perform direct care in the ER, assess patient needs, respond to emergencies, manage pain, document care, and use MediTech for orders and charting. TX RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC required within 90 days of employment, and at least 3 years of ER experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Minimum 3 years ER nursing experience.
• Texas RN license current in Texas.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS or ENPC certification within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within ER scope and hospital policies.
• Assess psychosocial, educational, and physical needs across age groups.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and triage patients.
• Develop and prioritize plans of care to meet goals.
• Identify education needs and document patient/family education.
• Manage acute and chronic pain and administer medications safely.
• Document care and use MediTech for orders and charting.
• Support moderate sedation as needed.
