Qualifications

• RN license or compact state eligibility.
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
• PALS, TNCC, ACLS, BCLS and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management with reassessment after interventions.
• Performs procedures and monitors as ordered; documents care in the electronic medical record in a timely manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Educates patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, status, treatment plans, medications and possible side effects; translates complex terms for understanding.
• Teaches lifestyle changes and follow-up measures to support future self-management.
