Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process from admission through discharge.

You will perform patient assessments, develop care plans, coordinate education, document care, and support quality improvement initiatives in a busy hospital setting. A Massachusetts RN license and BLS are required, with ACLS and BSN preferred for growth.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS certification per unit policy.
• BSN degree is preferred for advancement and specialty roles.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates tasks per job description and competency.
• Documents patient care per standard procedure.
• Implements education plans for patient/family/significant other.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration.
• Administers medications and supports physicians during procedures.
• Participates in Nursing Governance and quality improvements.
