Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room. You will apply the nursing process, conduct assessments, and coordinate discharge planning in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires MA nursing licensure, BLS (ACLS current preferred), and a BSN is highly preferred. Weekly hours are 24 with an evening shift pattern; inclusion in a unified health system offering diverse patient care opportunities.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification current preferred or required by unit.
• BSN degree is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to plan and manage patient care from admission to discharge.
• Perform patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedures.
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate nursing care within the assigned unit.
• Delegate tasks appropriately according to staff competency and job description.
